How Can I Start Modeling At 13 | Model Factory

If you want to be a model at the age of 13, then this is a good age for a beginner. Typically at this age, you are still in school, so you have 3-4 years to keep an eye on the model world and do short work on weekends or during your holidays. You have enough time to see if this is really right for you and if you can imagine continuing modeling even after school.

By the time you are about 17-18, you will be ready to work as a professional model and already have a model book, which will have great pictures. The best models in the whole world started at the age of 13-16 years. Not every "normal" agency takes a model at the age of 13, most of them start taking models with an age of 15+.

If so, you can apply to a children's modeling agency or just take a year to take care of yourself, try a few things and practice for your future modeling jobs.

Wait till the age of 13, 14, 15 or 16.

Wait a year and then you can send your first model application. Depending on how long your school lasts, you should apply to only one agency if your schooling does not last more than 2 years.

During these two years, you can create your model book in peace with professional photographers' test shoots. Test shooting is important to make your portfolio as diverse as possible. Ideally, you can show your various aspects, so that customers can visualize your clothes as well. At some point, you will also do your first sports shooting, your first family shoot, and your first fashion film.

Since setup takes a lot of time, however, you should think carefully about starting at ModelGentur. If you start early and then you do not have time or have to cancel often, it will not be very positive for your model agent and he will prefer other models sooner or later. To prevent this from happening, you should not go to a model agency until you are 13, 14, or 15 years old and the school ends successfully.
