What a Good Model is More Difficult than it Sounds

"I don't like to think we're looking for one thing," says Robin Bright, a scout for Model 1 agency, which celebrates its 50th birthday this year.

"If you find someone who is really different when you look at it, it's quite amazing.

"As a scout, there's always that cool behind a really loud group of girls, all dressed in makeup that probably hasn't worked out yet, and is really fuzzy-it's always that You See."

Scouting herself out of Topshop on Oxford Street nearly 20 years ago, she built a successful modeling career before going behind the camera to help find the next generation of models.
